He is a former VP of Global Research, Development & Engineering at Diversey, now part of Sealed Air.Jose founded MikroFlot Technologies, with the aim of developing and commercializing an inventive system for industrial wastewater treatment. As an entrepreneur he has raised capital and helped negotiate and manage technology transfer and licensing deals on a global scale.

An accomplished inventor and entrepreneur, he has more than 20 issued and pending patents. In his first start-up, he invented and commercialized disinfection technology which has been licensed to several multinational corporations and successfully rolled out in over 100 countries.He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela and MS and PhD Degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
